Notable Natural Disasters Review

“…parallel to the previous edition, volume 1 provides an overview of significant natural events (fires, floods, droughts, etc.), while volumes 2 and 3 provide entries on more than 160 notable disasters (although the publisher's website highlights different numbers). Most entries, along with short bibliographies for further reading, are four to six pages, and a few are ten pages or longer. The nature of the set, and its presentation, however, make it suitable for public libraries rather than academic audiences.
Summing Up: Recommended. General readers.”
